A Madhyamik examinee, Hasina Khatun, went into labor while writing her Bengali exam at Kandi Raja Manindra Chandra Girls' High School on the first day of the West Bengal Board examinations. The student from Ramendra Sundar Vidyapith, Kandir, complained of labor pains mid-exam, following which invigilators alerted the school authorities.
The administration and Kandi police were informed, and arrangements were made to transport her to Kandi Sub-Divisional Hospital. At the hospital, medical staff provided necessary treatment while ensuring she could complete her Bengali examination under proper supervision. Examination officials coordinated with healthcare authorities to allow her to write the paper in compliance with board regulations.
She completed the exam from the hospital while receiving medical attention. Authorities confirmed that Hasina Khatun is in stable condition and remains under medical observation. The administration has assured full support for her to continue appearing for the remaining exams as per schedule.
